Update on Breast Imaging and Multi-modality Biopsy will cover timely topics in breast imaging, including digital breast tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, contrast-enhanced mammography, molecular breast imaging, and breast MRI. Presenters will specifically talk about what is new with each modality, and a corresponding lecture will be presented on biopsy methods for each breast imaging modality.    

The target audience for this activity is radiologists and other health care professionals who have an interest in breast imaging and breast biopsy.

After completing the material in this article, the learner should be able to:

1. Identify current trends and future directions in breast imaging from both the latest research and clinical perspectives.
2. Describe the latest applications of breast imaging biopsy techniques and their impact on patient care.
3. Identify practice and patient care improvement opportunities.
4. Provide timely and new information on current and new applications of breast imaging to improve patient care and detect early breast cancer.
